Annual All Ireland Trout Angling Competition

Friends of Loch an Dochais will host their Annual competition for anglers with special needs at Loch an Dochais, Kilcormac, Co. Offaly on Sunday 26th May. Anglers will compete for the Mary Robinson Perpetual Trophy. The adult angling competition takes place from 11am to 2.45pm, entry fee €10, which is payable at the lake shore. Bag limit of 4 trout per angler and all legitimate angling methods are allowed.
The youth angling competition takes takes place from 3pm to 5pm, entry fee €5, which is payable at the lake shore. Bag limit of 4 trout per angler and all legitimate angling methods are allowed. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Presentation of prizes will take place at St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Kilcormac @ 3:30p.m.

Four Seasons Gardening Club

The club would like to thank everyone at Moore’s Nursery, Ferbane for a great evening last Monday 13th May. Thanks to Bríd for the tea and refreshments, thanks to Debra and Ann for their great informational talk on the different plants. Thanks to everyone who attended the evening.
The club will organise a bus to ‘Blooms in the Park’ on Sunday 2nd June, if there are enough people interested in going. Anyone that is interested in going needs to put down their names immediately (before this weekend), if we do not get enough names it would not be feasible to run a bus. Ballyboy National Schools Annual Teddy Bears Picnic and enrolment day takes place on Friday 24th May 2013. Parents with children who wish to enrol for the coming school year are invited to attend from 10am – 12noon. Children can bring their favourite teddy and join in the fun.
