St Finnian's Church (Church of Ireland)

About the church

The Church of Ireland parish of Ballyboy, which includes Kilcormac and its surroundings, is united with that of Kinnitty, and they are now part of the Shinrone Group of Parishes. Since the closure of St Mary's Church in Ballyboy in 1987 services for both parishes now take place in St Finnian's Church, Kinnitty. Built in 1851 it includes some wonderful stained glass from the An Tur Gloine studio in Dublin, as well as having behind it the unusual pyramid-shaped vault of the Bernard family of Kinnitty Castle.
